Our Story
Founded in 2024 by Jake Shirek and Brennen DuPree , GatePass emerged out of after years of experiencing the frustration of fleet negligence. We watched as unchecked maintainance led to unnecessary downtime and missed revenue opportunities. Inefficiencies in the vehicle acquisition and liquidation processes yielded unpredictable timelines and expesnes. With that experience, we decided to take action. We set out to create an easy, honest, and reliable fleet management ecosystem.
What started as a small consulting firm has grown into a comprehensive fleet solutions provider, serving businesses across the country. Our journey has been marked by continuous innovation, strategic partnerships, and an unwavering focus on delivering measurable results for our clients. Today, we manage a growing fleet of commercial vehicles and have helped our clients optimize their operations and maximize their return on investment.

Jake Shirek
Founder & Chief Executive
Jake Shirek, Founder and Chief Executive of GatePass, is responsible for the company’s investment activity, financing, and strategic partnerships. Through his involvement in multiple businesses, Jake has built a reputation for honesty, reliability, and velocity. With a major emphasis on building relationships, he has facilitated and managed over $500M in capitalized transactions.
Jake began his business career in the commercial real estate industry as a broker with Marcus & Millichap. With that experience, he transitioned to investing in and developing retail properties for the likes of 7-Eleven, Dutch Brothers, Del Taco, McDonalds, and other nationally recognized retailers.
Jake graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
Brennen DuPree
Co-Founder & CRO
Brennen has built and led high-performing fleet operations across the automotive and logistics industries, generating tens of millions in revenue through strategic vehicle sourcing, remarketing, and process optimization. His experience includes managing over $400M in assets, leading large operational teams, and driving measurable impact through data-driven decision making and vendor partnerships.
Before launching his own company, he held leadership roles in investor relations, fleet remarketing, and logistics at national-scale operations. He earned his degree from Birmingham-Southern College, where he developed a foundation in business, critical thinking, and strategic leadership.
